We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Learning Specialist to join us within our L&D Team in our Glasgow office.

*We are open to considering candidates on a part time or full-time basis*

What will your role look like?

This role is part of the Digital and Systems team in L&D and reports to the L&D BP (Digital and Systems). There are 3 main areas of accountability.

Firstly, supporting the management, maintenance and usage of our LMS and for co‑ordinating firmwide mandatory learning.

Secondly, the creation and maintenance of eLearning modules.

Thirdly, providing digital expertise in the form of video editing, exploration of emerging digital learning tools and upskilling of the wider L&D team in those.

Key tasks will include:
  • Supporting the management, maintenance and usage of our LMS and co‑ordinating firm‑wide mandatory learning.
  • Supporting the L&D BP (Digital & Systems) to manage and maintain our LMS, skilled to Superadmin/Expert level (e.g. uploading content, creating courses, learning plans, email notifications, producing reports, creating and maintaining pages, user management (creating user profiles and upskilling those users in the business), dealing with SAW requests/trouble tickets). As such this role involves both in depth knowledge of the back end of the LMS and interaction with colleagues across the firm as they use the system.
  • Creation of quarterly newsletter (with Facilitation team input) for firmwide advertising of learning.
  • Scheduling annual refreshers, reporting and working closely with mandatory learning owners.
  • Working with subject matter experts to create mandatory eLearning modules (Articulate).
  • Using eLearning authoring tools (Articulate) to create and update eLearning modules (in addition to mandatory modules. These could be modules to support other learning areas).
  • Editing of session recordings (Clipchamp and Vimeo), uploading to LMS or eLearning courses.
  • Keeping abreast of emerging learning technologies and upskilling the L&D team in these.
  • Involvement in ad hoc learning projects aligned to the firm’s strategic imperatives (examples include DEI, Digital, Leadership, Engagement).
Required experience and attributes
  • Knowledge of learning management systems (purpose, structure, processes, management).
  • Experience using Articulate to create eLearning. Working with SMEs and creating and maintaining eLearning modules in Articulate.
  • Understanding of learning methodologies/impact assessment.
  • The ability to prioritise effectively across competing demands and stakeholders and be organised and comfortable working under pressure to manage both short‑ and long‑term deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of learning content, data entries, and system configurations within digital learning platforms.
  • eLearning authoring skills which deliver creative, engaging learning (Articulate).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Client focussed and business curious, able to build collaborative relationships with colleagues across a range of levels.
  • Curious about new learning technologies, exploring the market to build knowledge and assess usefulness for Hymans (eg AI, VR, gamification).
  • Experience working with a variety of learning mediums such as podcasts, videos, interactive PDFs, animated videos.
  • Experience Using virtual collaboration tools (eg MIRO, SLIDO, Sharepoint).
Desirable skills
  • Creative individual with graphic design knowledge would be an advantage.
  • Other digital learning media skills (eg videos, podcasts, virtual collaboration, webinar and animation tools) would be an advantage.
  • Experience with building PowerBi dashboards would be useful but is not essential.
