A leading technology firm in the UK is seeking a Principal/Senior Electronics Engineer to support rugged display technologies and work across various stages of product development. You will act as a technical focal point for customer interactions, mentor junior team members, and work in a collaborative environment. This Principal/Senior Electronics Engineering vacancy presents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to develop and grow their skills and knowledge within a thriving organisation. In this broad electronic engineering role, you will work across a range of projects throughout various stages of the product lifecycle from initial concept development through to early life production support and on to support of existing fielded designs.
This principal electronics engineer will support our range of rugged displays and workstations. These displays are used within Leonardo products and also sold to customers around the world.
This role will focus on being the technical focal point for all activity involved with supporting our active and future designs including liaising with customers and the supply chain. There are also opportunities to mentor, coach and develop junior members of the Integrated Project Team.
This is mainly an office‑based role using display screen equipment, but you will also work in a development lab and occasionally in a production area in a clean room environment. Working to tight deadlines either on a regular or ad‑hoc basis will be required.
Occasional travel within the UK and abroad with overnight stays will be required.
This role is subject to pre‑employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
