Job summary

East Lancashire Learning Group, Nelson & Colne College, is seeking a Part-time Hourly Paid Lecturer in Digital to deliver high-quality teaching across a range of digital courses. The role involves designing course content, assessments and materials in collaboration with the academic team to engage and challenge students.

You will contribute to the ongoing development of the college's Digital curriculum, work with local employers to reflect industry trends, and ensure teaching is up-to-date and

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant subject area or appropriate professional qualification
• Recent industry experience is desirable
• PGCE qualification or the willingness to work towards one
• Knowledge of and proven ability to deliver the curriculum successfully
• Display initiative, be positive and enthusiastic
• Demonstrate a commitment to equality and diversity, customer service and quality assurance
• Possess excellent communication skills
• Be a team player
• Demonstrate a commitment to the process of continuous review and improvement
• Ability to develop and promote relevant curriculum effectively
• Suitability to work with children, young people and/or vulnerable adults
• Ability to use ILT in classroom delivery including interactive whiteboard technology

Responsibilities

• Teaching on a variety of L3 programs including Digital T levels and BTEC
• Engaging with local schools as part of the recruitment strategy
• Work with key employers to co-design the curriculum
• Maintain high quality records related to student assessment, coursework and progress
