Job summary

Nelson & Colne College is seeking a Part-time Hourly Paid Lecturer - Digital to deliver high-quality teaching across a range of digital courses. You will design and develop course content, assessments and learning materials that engage and challenge students.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science or a related field with a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE preferred). Experience teaching IT/CS, programming (Python, C++, JavaScript) and delivering hands-on, industry‑relevant

Qualifications

Degree in a relevant subject area or professional qualification (teaching).
PGCE qualification or willingness to work towards one.
Proven ability to deliver the curriculum in IT/CS.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
Ability to use ILT in classroom delivery including interactive whiteboard technology.

Responsibilities

Teach on a variety of L3 programmes including Digital T levels and BTEC.
Engage with local schools as part of recruitment strategy.
Deliver enrichment and enhancement activities.
Work with key employers to co-design the curriculum.
Maintain high quality records related to student assessment, coursework and progress.
