Job summary

DN Colleges Group in Doncaster is seeking a passionate Creative Media Lecturer to join the Creative and Digital Technologies team. You will teach across a range of further education programmes, assess learner progress and support learners to reach their potential.

The role requires delivering high-quality teaching, developing learning materials, contributing to curriculum development and quality assurance, and supporting course leadership and administration on a part-time basis (21.5 hours

Qualifications

• Must be willing to work towards a recognised Level 5 teaching qualification within the first 18 months of employment.
• Experience delivering Creative Media education in a further education setting is desirable.
• Knowledge of innovative learning and teaching techniques is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Creative Media Lecturer to join our Creative and Digital Technologies team. This role involves teaching across a range of further education programmes, supporting learners to achieve their full potential, and contributing to the continued development of the curriculum within Creative Media.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching, developing learning materials, assessing student progress and providing guidance and support to learners. You will also contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance activities and the effective running of programmes within the department.

Working Pattern: 21.5 hours per week / Wednesday - Thursday 8:30am - 5pm Friday 8:30am - 4pm

Key Responsibilities

• Teach and assess learners across a range of further education courses in Creative Media.
• Develop curriculum content, learning materials and assessment activities.
• Mark assignments and maintain accurate records of learner achievement and progress.

• Ability to support curriculum development, including the effective use of ICT in teaching and learning.
• Knowledge and understanding of current education and training initiatives.
• Customer-focused approach with excellent attention to detail and professionalism.

Additional Information

Teaching Qualifications: Applicants are not required to hold a teaching qualification at the point of appointment. However, they must be willing to work towards and achieve a recognised Level 5 teaching qualification within the first 18 months of employment. This qualification must then be maintained through ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD). At DN Colleges Group, a recognised teaching qualification is defined as Level 5 or above.
