Job summary

Nelson and Colne College Group in Accrington is seeking a part-time Lecturer in Media to join the Creative & Digital Team, delivering the level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Media and related IT subjects. The role favours a graphics and video production background and offers varied hours with a maximum of 24 per week.

The successful candidate will be based primarily at Accrington & Rossendale College, with travel across sites possible, and should have a teaching qualification or be willing to

Qualifications

• A degree in a relevant subject area or appropriate professional qualification/experience.
• A recognised teaching qualification or a willingness to achieve this within three years of appointment.
• A higher degree or advanced qualification is also desirable.
• Successful teaching experience within Media.

Responsibilities

• Teaching within the Digital and Media team on the level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Media (RQF) and the BTEC extended Diploma in Information Technology.
• Develop and share resources for the course/subject.
• Deliver enrichment and enhancement activities.
• Complete required assessment and Internal verification duties in relation to student assignments.

Skills

Teaching experience in Media

Willingness to achieve teaching qual.
