Job summary

HSBC Group in Cambridge is seeking a Universal Banker to deliver outstanding service at the branch, educate customers to use our digital platforms, and offer flexible banking options.

You will help identify vulnerable customers, support complex needs, and complete the in-branch training. The role runs 35 hours weekly Mon-Fri 9:00–17:00 and Sat 9:00–13:30, with a starting salary of £27,000 and a discretionary annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is helpful but not essential.
• Ability to work 35 hours per week, including Saturdays.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for customers and deliver an exceptional experience
• Educate customers on HSBC digital services and fraud awareness
• Identify customers in vulnerable situations and determine support
• Assist customers with complex banking needs and participate in training
• Take ownership of enquiries through to resolution with a personalised service
• Occasionally support other branches within a reasonable distance
