A recruitment agency specializing in technology is seeking a Developer Advocate to enhance the developer experience with their SDK. This role involves creating tutorials, engaging with the developer community, and collaborating closely with engineering teams. A hands-on background with APIs and strong communication skills are essential. This position is remote-first with occasional travel and offers a competitive salary with benefits.
Consortia is leading the search for a Developer Advocate with a focus on developer marketing and education for a company building advanced tooling for engineers working in distributed systems and applied cryptography.
As the company prepares for a broader launch, they are looking to add a Developer Advocate to help grow, support and empower the developer community building on their SDK and network. You’ll be the bridge between external builders and the internal engineering team ensuring developers get the clarity, support and examples they need to build real applications.
Create clear and developer‑friendly tutorials, quickstarts, API walkthroughs and technical explainers that unblock early adoption.
Build and maintain sample applications, reference implementations, Postman collections, and “Hello World” experiences.
Represent developers internally by feeding back pain points, friction, and improvement areas to Engineering and Product.
Contribute to documentation structure, clarity and accuracy in partnership with the engineering and product content teams.
Participate in online community spaces GitHub, forums, Discord/Slack offering support, testing edge cases, and identifying patterns in developer needs.
Assist with demos, live walkthroughs, and webinars or meetups.
Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure the overall developer experience is smooth, fast and well supported.
Hands‑on experience with APIs, SDKs, or developer tools.
Ability to read and reason about code (JS, Python or similar).
Comfort using GitHub, CLI tools, Postman/cURL, and standard developer workflows.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts simply and accurately.
A collaborative approach you will work closely with engineers, product and technical content teams.
Comfort in early‑stage environments where autonomy and initiative matter.
A genuine desire to help developers solve problems and build meaningful applications.
Experience in developer advocacy or developer marketing roles.
Contributions to open‑source projects or technical communities.
Prior startup or scale‑up experience where you acted as a bridge between users and engineers.
Experience hosting webinars, workshops, or technical walkthroughs.
Direct impact, you will shape how real developers experience and evaluate a technically ambitious platform.
Deeply technical team, collaborate with engineers solving challenging problems in distributed systems.
Meaningful ownership, your work directly affects developer activation, retention and long‑term ecosystem growth.
