Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a qualified Design and Technology Teacher for a full-time, long-term role in Trafford, starting in October. You will deliver practical and theory-based lessons across KS3 and KS4, plan engaging schemes of work and support students to develop their practical skills and confidence.

Eligible candidates have QTS with a Design and Technology specialism, strong classroom management, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• QTS with a Design and Technology specialism.
• Experience teaching Design and Technology across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Strong knowledge of the Design and Technology curriculum.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons across KS3/KS4.
• Help students develop practical skills and subject knowledge.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a large secondary school based in Trafford. The school provides a busy and engaging learning environment and is looking for an enthusiastic Design and Technology Teacher to join their team.

The school is looking to take on a Design and Technology Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis from October. The successful Design and Technology Teacher will teach across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, planning and delivering engaging lessons while supporting students to develop their practical skills, subject knowledge and confidence.

The successful Design and Technology Teacher will have:

• QTS with a Design and Technology specialism (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• Experience teaching Design and Technology across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Strong knowledge of the Design and Technology curriculum
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A positive and adaptable approach to teaching
