Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a secondary school in Leeds to appoint an experienced Design Technology teacher. The role is starting ASAP and can be part-time to full-time, teaching KS3 and KS4 with engaging, practical lessons and high expectations.

The successful candidate will hold QTS with a Design Technology specialism or equivalent, have experience teaching DT in a secondary setting, and demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management. PAYE payroll is used for staff.

• QTS with a Design Technology specialism or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching Design Technology in a secondary school.
• Experience teaching KS3 and KS4.
• Strong knowledge of the Design Technology curriculum.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Confident, adaptable and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Design Technology lessons for KS3/KS4.
• Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and management.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school in Leeds who are looking to appoint an experienced DT Teacher. The school is looking for a confident and committed teacher who can engage pupils through practical and classroom-based learning while creating a positive learning environment.

The school is looking to take on a DT Teacher on a part-time to full-time basis, starting ASAP and teaching pupils across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4. The successful DT Teacher will be expected to plan and deliver engaging Design Technology lessons, assess pupil progress and demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management.

The successful DT Teacher will have:

• QTS with a Design Technology specialism or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Plenty of experience teaching Design Technology within a secondary school setting
• Experience teaching pupils across KS3 and KS4
• Strong knowledge of the Design Technology curriculum
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• A confident, adaptable and professional approach
