Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a large secondary school in Trafford to recruit a qualified Design and Technology Teacher. The role is full-time and long-term from October, teaching across KS3/KS4 with planning and delivery of engaging lessons to develop students' practical skills and confidence.

The successful candidate will hold QTS with a D&T specialism (ECTs welcome), have strong curriculum knowledge, and exhibit excellent classroom management and communication.

Job Title: Design and Technology Teacher Location: Trafford Start Date: October Salary: £170 - £250 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a large secondary school based in Trafford. The school provides a busy and engaging learning environment and is looking for an enthusiastic Design and Technology Teacher to join their team.

The school is looking to take on a Design and Technology Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis from October. The successful Design and Technology Teacher will teach across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, planning and delivering engaging lessons while supporting students to develop their practical skills, subject knowledge and confidence.

The successful Design and Technology Teacher will have:

• QTS with a Design and Technology specialism (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• Experience teaching Design and Technology across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Strong knowledge of the Design and Technology curriculum
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A positive and adaptable approach to teaching
