Are you ready to make a significant impact on one of the UK's most ambitious infrastructure projects? We're looking for a Design Interface Manager to join our team at the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), working on the Sizewell C project. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the design and construction of a 3.2-gigawatt nuclear power station that will provide low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, ensuring reliable, clean energy for at least 60 years.

The Role

The Role:

As Design Interface Manager, you'll play a crucial role in our technical and engineering team, ensuring smooth coordination across design interfaces for civil, structural, and tunnelling works. You'll be responsible for managing complex design interfaces and ensuring construction feasibility through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Your leadership will be key to overcoming challenges, particularly in the excavation of tunnels and the construction of tunnel shaft connections.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the interface management process across various design teams, ensuring the compatibility and construction feasibility of all designs.
  • Facilitate effective communication between internal teams and external designers and subcontractors.
  • Organise and manage design interface meetings, ensuring alignment with the project delivery schedule.
  • Produce and maintain interface management plans and schedules, ensuring that all designs meet programme priorities.
  • Champion a safety-first culture and Zero Harm on-site throughout all project phases.
What We're Looking For
  • A degree in Engineering (or working towards professional qualification).
  • Relevant experience in major project construction, particularly in civil, structural, and tunnelling works.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a collaborative approach to team coordination and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and technical expertise in design review, BIM execution, and model management.
  • Proficiency with 3D and 4D modelling software, BIM clash detection, and design management processes.
