Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a Pathway Co-ordinator in Dermatology at St Peter's Health Centre Leicester. You will manage patient flow in outpatient settings, prepare medical notes, and handle bookings and appointment cancellations.

You will work closely with dermatology consultants and nurse specialists, requiring excellent communication, time management, and accurate keyboard skills; prior clerical experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent literacy and numerical skills.
• Proficient in the use of one or more computer systems.

Responsibilities

• To register new patient referrals.
• Liaise with consultants for urgent appointments.
• To be responsible for ensuring patients are put on relevant consultants' waiting lists and that letters are sent per Trust policy.
• To deal with appointment changes and clinic reductions in coordination with wards and medical secretaries.
• To follow up investigations and results to prevent delays for patients.
• Prepping and sitting clinic multiple times a week.
