Overview

The Carroll Centre has an exciting opportunity for an experienced level 3+ practitioner to join our wonderful team as a Deputy Nursery Manager within our on-site Nursery, Poppins!

The successful candidate will be a passionate and creative practitioner, who will support the setting in achieving the highest standards of nursery education for children aged 2-5 years.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in leading a team and room or setting and comprehensive knowledge of the EYFS Framework.

Responsibilities
  • 3+ years early years’ experience.
  • 1-2+ years management experience
  • Good knowledge of child development and children’s needs
  • Experience of planning and assessing play opportunities to stimulate children’s development and learning in line with the EYFS curriculum and Ofsted educational guidelines.
  • Term time
  • Monday - Friday
Qualifications and Education
  • NVQ level 3+ in Childcare with commitment to CPD
  • Good numeracy, literacy and computer skills
  • Current & clear DBS & registered for the update service
  • Current paediatric first aid certificate
  • Experience of supervising and motivating staff
  • Ability to make decisions within the limits of the role.
  • Good IT & administration skill
  • Good presentation skills and ability to be a positive role model for staff
