Overview

NEW Deputy Manager: Retirement Housing with Meals, Opportunity in Arbroath

At Bield our customers are at the heart of everything we do. We are a non-profit organisation with charitable status committed to providing a wide range of housing, care and support services to enable older people in Scotland to live independent and fulfilling lives.

Role

Joining our team in Clyde Court you will play an important role in ensuring that our tenants receive high quality tenancy management, property management services and a flexible meals service which offers freshly prepared meals and value for money. You will work closely with the local manager to support and supervise a small team of locally based employees who have responsibility for delivery of services.

Hours of employment are 22.5 hours per week to be worked in the following pattern: Friday, Saturday & Sunday: 9:00am - 5:30pm. Includes 1 hour unpaid lunch.

Role Responsibilities
  • Ensure tenants receive high quality tenancy management, property management services and a flexible meals service which offers freshly prepared meals and value for money.
  • Work closely with the local manager to support and supervise a small team of locally based employees who have responsibility for delivery of services.
Role Requirements
  • Ability to prioritise and organise work within a busy service, with written, numerical and IT skills to undertake basic management tasks.
  • Ideally experience supervising an individual or small team and experience of housing, social care or health services gained through work or volunteer experience.
  • Genuine interest in working with older people and understanding of their needs within a housing setting.
  • An SVQ Level 2 in a housing related discipline is desirable but not essential.
  • The successful candidate will be required to complete a Standard Disclosure check with Disclosure Scotland.
