Our Radiology Department plays a vital role in supporting clinical teams and delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. We are now seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Radiographer to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of the imaging team. The Lead Radiographer at the Women's Hospital will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality imaging services, supporting the Modality Lead Radiographer, and ensuring the smooth operation of the Radiology department. This position combines advanced clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities, contributing to both patient care and departmental excellence.

Main duties of the job
  • Clinical Leadership
    • Supervise and support radiographers and imaging assistants in daily operations.
    • Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, safety standards, and best practices.
    • Oversee complex imaging procedures, providing guidance and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Operational Management
    • Assist the Modality Lead Radiographer in scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
    • Monitor equipment functionality and coordinate maintenance or repairs.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Participate in regular audits and quality improvement initiatives.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and patient safety.
  • Training and Development
    • Mentor junior staff and facilitate ongoing professional development.
    • Organize and deliver training sessions on new technologies and procedures.
    • Support student placements and contribute to educational activities.
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered imaging services.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, addressing concerns and explaining procedures.
