A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Deputy CEO to work closely with the CEO in overseeing projects and people for high-quality services. This role involves leading project delivery, managing risk, and supporting financial performance. Exceptional leadership and communication skills are required with the ability to travel and work during school holidays. The position offers a hybrid working model, allowing for both office and home work, centered in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Location: Hybrid - Some time at our client's office in Chopwell; Visits to their various regional woodland sites; Some home working

Reports to: CEO

Hours of work: 35 hours per week (one FTE)

Remuneration: TBD

Our client is seeking an organised, people-focused leader to support their quality, growth and sustainability. The Deputy CEO will work closely with the CEO to oversee projects, people, safeguarding, governance and business performance, ensuring high-quality Forest School provision across their sites. Some work during school holidays is essential.

Key Duties:
  • Lead delivery of projects aligned with our client's mission and values.
  • Oversee risk management, safeguarding, health and safety, and staff wellbeing.
  • Support financial performance, fundraising and organisational sustainability.
  • Develop and support Managers, teams and training.
  • Maintain policies, compliance and organisational memberships.
  • Lead evaluation, impact reporting and reporting to Trustees.
