Job summary

A leading charity for dementia support is seeking a Group Support Volunteer to assist individuals affected by dementia during group activities. Your role will involve welcoming attendees, helping create a comfortable environment, and facilitating social interactions. Ideal candidates will possess communication skills and empathy, and experience with dementia is a plus. Qualifications

  • You must be over the age of 16.
  • Some language skills (Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi, Bangla or Gujarati) are desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Support and encourage people affected by dementia to engage in activities.
  • Welcome attendees and ensure refreshments are available.
  • Help set up and tidy away before and after sessions.
  • Assist with group coordination as needed.
