Demand Planner

Our client, a market leader based in Marlow, is looking for a Demand Planner to work alongside the Demand Planning Manager to support Demand Planning analysis across the business and drive the strategic focus and forward planning for the year ahead.

Role Summary

Experience in demand planning or a supply planner with a desire to advance into demand planning. Hybrid working after 3 months. Offers superb benefits and excellent career development.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyse sales forecasts and break these down by both customer and product to give recommendations and flag any risks and anomalies in the numbers.
• Perform historical cleansing activities to ensure better statistical forecasts.
• Phase in/phase out maintenance and master data maintenance in the local forecasting system.
• Update the system with forecasts where necessary.
• Support the Demand Planning Manager in the monthly demand reviews with the sales managers.
• Execute weekly revision of overselling and underselling SKUs.
• Support with regular reporting and communication relating to forecast accuracy in respect of the demand plan vs business targets.
• Carry out other ad‑hoc responsibilities as requested by the Line Manager from time to time.

Skills & Qualifications

• A minimum of one year demand planning experience, or a supply planner looking to develop.
• Strong analytical thinking skills.
• Experience working for a consumer goods company is desirable.
• Able to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment and multi‑task.
• Experience with analysing data within a Demand Planning position.
• Comfortable performing routine tasks with consistency and accuracy.
• Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF statements, SUMIFS).
• Experience working with SAP is highly advantageous.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders across the business at different levels.
