Job summary

John Lewis & Partners is hiring Technician Specialists to bring our service to customers’ homes, installing large items in a 2-person crew in a 7.5-tonne vehicle. You’ll coach other drivers and model our high standards of service and safety.

As part of the delivery team you will load goods, handle home access with care, and demonstrate how products work while staying up to date with new technologies and safety rules. DBS checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Previous installation experience required; training provided via installer accreditation.
• Manual C1 UK driving licence (max 6 points).
• Experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle.
• Experience in a customer-facing role.
• Strong verbal communication and tech-savvy.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador for the John Lewis brand with top-tier customer service.
• Coach and develop delivery driver colleagues to perform at their best.
• Assist loading the lorry with daily deliveries with the warehouse team.
• Respect customers' homes and handle issues to find best solutions.
• Install products efficiently and show customers how they work.
• Stay updated on new products and technologies.
• Maintain a safe working environment; role involves heavy lifting.
