Job summary

John Lewis is seeking an Installation Specialist based in our Delivery Hub to bring our service to customers' homes. You will install products such as furniture, appliances and TVs as part of a 2-person crew, and drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle.

The role involves heavy lifting, a 41-hour week, and rotating shifts; DBS/vetting may be required; extensive customer-facing work and a focus on safe, high-quality installations.

Qualifications

• Must hold a C1 driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• DCPC or Driver Qualification Card required by start date.
• Tachograph Card held prior to employment.
• Experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
• Excellent verbal communication and friendliness.
• Good understanding of technology and gadgets.
• Installation experience is essential; DBS checks may be required.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador for John Lewis with excellent customer service.
• Load deliveries with the warehouse team and drive to customers’ homes.
• Install products and demonstrate operation to customers.
• Handle large items safely; maintain safe working environment.
• Keep up to date with product knowledge and technologies.
