Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking Technician Specialists to install products at customers' homes as part of a two-person delivery crew, driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle. You will coach and develop other drivers, acting as a role model for great service.

The role involves heavy lifting and delivering large items across a 41-hour week, including weekends. You will be trained in our installer accreditation and help ensure safe, efficient installations while maintaining excellent product knowledge and

Qualifications

• Manual C1 UK driving licence (max 6 points).
• DCPC or Drivers Qualification Card by day one and Tachograph Card.
• Previous experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Good understanding of technology.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador for the John Lewis brand with customer service as priority.
• Coach, develop and assess delivery driver colleagues.
• Assist loading the lorry with deliveries with the warehouse team.
• Respect customers' homes and handle issues to find best solutions.
• Install products efficiently and demonstrate how they work.
• Keep up to date with new products and technologies.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Heavy lifting involved; deliver large items like sofas and appliances.
