Job summary

Citizens Advice Bury & Bolton is seeking a Debt Supervisor (Trainee considered) to lead and coach Money Advice & Energy Services advisers, ensuring high‑quality debt and energy advice and KPI compliance.

With a salary of £27,500–£32,000 and a hybrid working model after training, the role requires experience in debt/money advice and strong people skills to support a busy client-focused service.

Qualifications

• At least 18 months experience as debt/money advice adviser/caseworker (Preferably MaPS accredited)
• Experience in managing money advice/debt caseloads
• Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse range of staff and clients
• Organisational skills with the ability to adapt, prioritise deadlines and competing tasks in a fast-paced environment
• A genuine passion for continual professional development, and team development
• Be empathetic, compassionate and resilient, understand trauma-informed approaches and adapt to client needs
• Be resilient and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of Money Advice & Energy Services Advisers (you will have up to 8 direct reports and will support supervisor colleagues)
• Being a subject matter expert, providing technical knowledge and expertise to ensure that all contract KPIs are met and advice is delivered to a high standard through independent file reviews, live coaching and monitoring of key themes
