Job summary

The National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux is seeking a Debt Supervisor (Trainee considered) in a hybrid role based in the Bury/Bolton area. You will supervise Money Advice and Energy Services advisers, ensuring high-quality debt advice and KPI delivery while coaching staff and reviewing cases.

We expect at least 18 months experience in debt/money advice with caseload management, strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to professional development in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• At least 18 months experience as debt/money advice adviser/caseworker (MaPS accredited preferred).
• Experience in managing money advice/debt caseloads.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse range of staff and clients.
• Organisational skills with the ability to adapt, prioritise deadlines and competing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• A genuine passion for continual professional development and team development.
• Be empathetic, compassionate and resilient; understand trauma-informed approaches and be adaptable to client needs.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of Money Advice & Energy Services Advisers (up to 8 direct reports, supporting supervisor colleagues).
• Ensure contract KPIs are met and advice is delivered to high standards through file reviews, live coaching and monitoring of key themes.

As a supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring that our regulated money and debt advice, along with energy advice services are delivered to high-quality standards and KPIs are met through live coaching, supporting advisers with complex queries, file reviews and feedback.

Key elements and tasks within this role include:

• Supervision of Money Advice & Energy Services Advisers (you will have up to 8 direct reports and will support supervisor colleagues)
• Being a subject matter expert, providing technical knowledge and expertise to ensure that all contract KPIs are met, and advice is delivered to a high standard which meets the criteria for all regulatory, contractual and funder requirements through independent file reviews, live coaching and monitoring of key themes
