Job summary

Citizens Advice Bury & Bolton (CABB) is seeking a Supervisor to lead Money Advice & Energy Services advisers, ensure high quality debt and energy guidance, and meet KPIs through live coaching and file reviews.

You will supervise up to 8 advisers, apply trauma-informed approaches, and contribute to service development within a hybrid Bolton/Bury team. Closing date for applications is 16 October 2026.

Qualifications

• At least 18 months experience as debt/money advice adviser/caseworker (MaPS accredited preferred).
• Experience in managing money advice/debt caseloads.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse range of staff and clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical knowledge to ensure contract KPIs and high-quality advice.

As a supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring that our regulated money and debt advice, along with energy advice services are delivered to high-quality standards and KPIs are met through live coaching, supporting advisers with complex queries, file reviews and feedback.

Key elements and tasks within this role include:

• Supervision of Money Advice & Energy Services Advisers (you will have up to 8 direct reports and will support supervisor colleagues)
• Being a subject matter expert, providing technical knowledge and expertise to ensure that all contract KPIs are met, and advice is delivered to a high standard which meets the criteria for all regulatory, contractual and funder requirements through independent file reviews, live coaching and monitoring of key themes

About you:

• At least 18 months experience as debt/money advice adviser/caseworker (Preferably MaPS accredited)
• Experience in managing money advice/ debt caseloads
• Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse range of staff and clients
• Organisational skills with the ability to adapt, prioritise deadlines and competing tasks in a fast-paced environment,
• A genuine passion for continual professional development, and team development
• Be empathetic, compassionate and resilient, understand how to use trauma informed approaches and be adaptable to client needs
