Neogen Europe Ltd is seeking a diligent and motivated DCM Production Operator to join our production team in Heywood. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior candidate to build a career in a regulated manufacturing environment, contributing to the safe, timely and high-quality production of our NCM products. You will work closely with production, quality and health & safety colleagues to ensure our customers receive products they can rely on.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate production equipment for the milling, blending, filling, capping and labelling of NCM products in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Work to an agreed production schedule to ensure products are manufactured on time while maximising quality and minimising waste.
  • Follow quality guidelines under the direction of Quality Assurance, ensuring quality is built into production processes and supporting continuous improvement to reduce batch failures.
  • Comply with Health & Safety legislation and company policies, following guidance from the Health & Safety Manager and promptly reporting any issues or concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records relating to equipment use, monitoring and routine maintenance as directed.
  • Support new product transfers into routine production, collaborating with R&D, Quality Control and other departments as required, and assist with document updates and change requests when needed.
Job Requirements
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, laboratory or similar process-driven environment is desirable, but not essential; full training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Ability to follow detailed written procedures (SOPs, work instructions) with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong awareness of, or willingness to learn, quality and health & safety requirements in a regulated environment.
  • Good organisation skills, including the ability to maintain accurate records and keep work areas clean, tidy and compliant.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work cooperatively under the direction of team leaders and managers.
  • Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom in accordance with applicable right to work legislation.
