Job description

Join our dynamic team at Legal and General Asset Management as a Senior Data Engineer. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and developing our Finance data strategy ensuring efficient data sourcing storage processing and maintenance. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the continuous improvement of our data solutions.

What youll be doing

• Developing strong working relationships with stakeholders across Asset Management functions
• Working with Senior Finance Managers and Business Stakeholders to understand data requirements
• Designing, analysing, building and maintaining solutions following architectural frameworks
• Providing technical support to finance teams for data extraction and reporting
• Ensuring data structures are consistent and optimized across various systems
• Creating innovative data solutions
• Documenting technical processes and solutions
• Engaging with Group Data to improve and utilise data solutions including Cloud solutions

Qualifications

• Experience in data programming and finance data
• Proficiency in SQL and Python and / or C#
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Experience with relational databases (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server Oracle)
• Familiarity with ETL / ELT tools (e.g. Alteryx) and big data platforms (e.g. Snowflake)
