Data Cleansing Administrator, SAP Success Factors

Temporary, 16 weeks. Salary: £14.16 per hour. Hours: 37 hrs/week, Monday to Friday (9am to 5pm, 4:30pm finish on Friday). Location: Remote (with a few days on-site training in Milton Keynes).

The Role

The Open University are embarking on a crucial project to implement Establishment Control and optimise the associated processes in their HR system - SAP SuccessFactors. In this context, we are looking for a detail‑oriented Data Cleansing Administrator to join their team. In this role, you will support data cleansing and validation efforts to ensure that Establishment and Position data are fully aligned between SuccessFactors Employee Central and SAP Finance systems, enabling improved control, reporting, planning and forecasting.

What You will be doing:
  • Review and compare data across internal People Services systems to identify anomalies or missing information which need to be flagged for escalation.
  • Update and resolve inaccurate or incomplete records in line with university policies.
  • Deactivate obsolete or incorrect records where required.
  • Cleanse and standardise data formats and naming conventions to improve consistency.
  • Support the alignment of data between HR and Finance systems.
  • Validate all data changes and maintain audit trails for cleansing activities.
  • Provide regular updates and progress reports to the project lead and relevant stakeholders.
What you will need to be considered:
  • High levels of attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Experienced in data administration, data quality, or data management. If you have HR Administration or Operational Administration experience you will have lots of transferable to do well in this role.
  • Comfortable using HR systems and MS Office tools (Word and Excel) - experience with SuccessFactors is highly desirable. Ability to work around Excel spreadsheets, using filters.
  • Confident working with data structures, formats, and standards.
  • Able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, and liaise productively with different teams.
  • Discreet and professional when handling confidential or sensitive information.
  • Well organised, with good planning and time‑management skills.
