Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking a Repairs Planner for a leading social housing provider. You will coordinate repairs, schedule inspections and remedial works, and liaise with residents, housing teams and contractors.

Experience in damp and mould repairs is preferred but not essential; the role focuses on delivering a responsive, high-quality service within strict timescales. You will manage appointments, monitor progress and keep accurate records using scheduling systems, while delivering

Qualifications

• Experience as a repairs planner or scheduler in social housing.
• Experience with damp, mould or condensation repairs is preferred.
• Proficient use of repairs management or scheduling systems.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and coordinate repairs and maintenance works across social housing properties.
• Arrange appointments for inspections and remedial works, particularly damp, mould and condensation.
• Allocate jobs to operatives and contractors, ensuring workloads are managed effectively.
• Monitor repair progress and ensure works are completed within agreed timescales.
• Liaise with residents, housing officers, surveyors and contractors to provide updates and resolve scheduling issues.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, appointments and job progress using relevant scheduling systems.
• Prioritise urgent repairs and cases involving vulnerable residents.
• Follow up on outstanding works and rearrange appointments where necessary.
• Support compliance with relevant housing standards and health and safety requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service while managing resident expectations.
