Overview

It is an exciting time to join the CYP Community Eating Disorder Service as we continue to innovate and grow. There is currently an opportunity for 2 registered nurses or occupational therapists, who have an interest in working with eating disorders to join the team and develop their skills in working with young people and their families.

Responsibilities
  • The successful applicant will join a multidisciplinary team including Nurses, Dietitians, Occupational Therapists, Consultant Psychiatrist, Speciality Doctor, Clinical Psychologists and Family Therapists.
  • The role of Nurse Therapist/Allied Health Professional is to offer care co-ordination and therapeutic intervention as identified following assessment.
  • Develop therapeutic intervention skills to support the needs of children, young people and carers who access our service, with opportunities for training in NICE informed interventions.
Qualifications/Experience
  • Registered Nurse or Occupational Therapist
  • Interest in working with eating disorders and in working with young people and families
  • Willingness to engage in training to develop evidence-based skills
