Job description
Customer Support and Test Analyst SCR (Somerset Cancer Register)

Somerset Cancer Register (SCR) is a nationally used NHS web application supporting the management of cancer patient pathways. Our mission is simple but powerful: to simplify the management of complex patient journeys and improve decision making for clinicians and services.

We're looking for a dedicated Customer Support & Test Analyst to join our friendly and collaborative team. If you enjoy problem solving, supporting customers, learning new systems, and contributing to high quality software, this could be the ideal next step in your career.

Main duties of the job

As a Customer Support & Test Analyst, you'll play a key part in ensuring that SCR and its associated products--such as our Remote Monitoring System (RMS)--run smoothly for healthcare professionals across the country.

You will split your time between supporting customers and performing functional testing on system upgrades, new features, and interfaces. Working closely with developers, test analysts, and national stakeholders, you'll help maintain the reliability, quality, and continuous improvement of SCR.

This is a varied and rewarding role with plenty of opportunities to grow your technical knowledge--particularly in cancer datasets, NHS pathways, and software testing techniques.

If you're passionate about delivering excellent service, enjoy problem solving, and want to contribute to software that supports cancer care across the NHS, we'd love to hear from you.

  • A strong focus on career development to help you grow and achieve your potential

Additionally, you'll gain access to our Blue Light Card, unlocking exclusive discounts on shopping, dining, and leisure activities, as well as NHS-specific perks to support you both inside and outside of work.

We are proud to foster a diverse, skilled, and inclusive workforce, and we encourage applications from all backgrounds.

Why Somerset? Somerset offers the perfect blend of idyllic countryside, outstanding areas of natural beauty, and breathtaking coastlines, with vibrant cities like Bristol, Bath, and Exeter just a short drive away - and only two hours to London.
