Job summary

Planet Recruitment in Yarnton is seeking a Customer Service Executive on a temporary contract through to the end of 2026. Salary is £13-£14 per hour, based on a 37.5 hour week.

You will handle customer inquiries by phone, email and in person, manage and monitor orders, communicate progress and delays, liaise with internal teams and third-party suppliers, and help prepare management reports to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Has previous experience in customer service, administration or a similar role.
• Has excellent communication skills.
• Is confident dealing with customers by phone and email.
• Is organised and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Has good attention to detail.
• Can work well as part of a team.
• Takes a proactive approach to solving problems.
• Is comfortable working in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Dealing with customers by phone, email and face-to-face.
• Managing and monitoring customer orders.
• Keeping customers updated on order progress and delivery dates.
• Proactively communicating any delays to customers.
• Handling general and order-specific enquiries.
• Liaising with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Coordinating with third-party suppliers and stakeholders.
• Processing customer orders through the company system.
• Preparing management reports.
• Supporting the supply chain and dispatch process when required.
• Looking for ways to improve processes and efficiency.
