Job summary

Skipton Building Society is recruiting a Customer Service Consultant to work 36 hours per week on a 12-month fixed term contract across Carlisle and Penrith branches, mainly based in Carlisle. Interviews will be held in Carlisle during the week commencing 2 November.

You will greet customers, understand their needs, explain savings products, and provide a friendly, helpful service while maintaining accurate records and complying with policies.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers in person or over the phone.
• Ability to work well with others in a team.
• Ability to react quickly during busy periods and manage time effectively.
• Desire and ability to grow, adapt and respond to business needs.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact, welcoming customers in-branch and on the phone.
• Understand customer needs by asking insightful questions and offering tailored solutions.
• Listen to each customer’s circumstances and provide personalized advice.
• Proactively reach out to customers by phone to discuss how we can help.
• Maintain accurate customer records in internal systems with focus on vulnerable customers.
• Adhere to policies, standards and controls with training and coaching.
