Skipton Building Society is hiring a Customer Service Consultant to support Carlisle and Penrith branches. This 12-month fixed-term contract is full-time (36 hours per week) and based mainly in Carlisle.

You will greet customers, understand needs, explain savings products, and provide friendly, first-class service. The role involves in-branch, phone, and online interactions, with training and benefits.

Interviews will be held in Carlisle; closing date 22 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers.
• Experience in a contact centre environment or similar.
• Background in retail or service industries is welcome.
• Proven communication and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact in-branch or over the phone with customers.
