Job summary

Skipton Building Society in Barnoldswick & Clitheroe is seeking a Customer Consultant to deliver a warm, first‑class service in-branch and over the phone. You will listen to customers, understand their needs, and explain our savings products with tailored solutions, while maintaining accurate records and following policy.

We offer a permanent role, 36 hours per week, a salary of £25,500 per annum, and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers in person or by phone.
• Ability to work in a busy environment and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to engage with customers across multiple channels.
• Experience in a contact centre or frontline service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be the First Point of Contact: warmly welcome customers in-branch and over the phone.
• Engage and Understand: ask insightful questions to uncover customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Listen and Tailor Solutions: tailor solutions to meet individual circumstances and goals.
• Proactive Outreach: reach out to customers by phone to discuss needs and support.
• Maintain Accurate Records: keep customer records up to date in internal systems and support vulnerable customers.
• Adhere to Policies: follow company policies and controls with training and coaching.
