Job summary

Now Group is seeking a Customer Service Agent to support a busy air cargo operation in the UK. The role involves handling customer enquiries, bookings and quotations, and coordinating with airlines and handling sheds to ensure shipments move smoothly.

Applicants should have experience in Air Cargo Imports and/or Exports, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrate a proactive, issue-resolving approach alongside strong time management and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries and bookings for Import and Export shipments via telephone and email.

• Respond to quotation enquiries and provide professional customer service by telephone and email.
• Support Export Agents and the wider management team with day-to-day operational requirements.
• Resolve customer queries efficiently within required timescales.

Job DescriptionCustomer Service AgentRight Now Group are recruiting for a Customer Service Agent to join a leading company within the logistics and freight handling sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused individual with experience within Air Cargo Imports and/or Exports to join a busy operation. You'll be responsible for handling customer enquiries, bookings and quotations whilst working closely with airlines, handling sheds and internal operations teams to ensure shipments move smoothly.

Key Responsibilities of a Customer Service Agent

Handle customer enquiries and bookings for Import and Export shipments via telephone and email. Liaise with airlines and handling sheds to check shipment departures and provide customers with updates. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers. Respond to quotation enquiries and provide professional customer service by telephone and email. Support Export Agents and the wider management team with day-to-day operational requirements. Resolve customer queries efficiently while ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and within required timescales.

The Successful Candidate

Previous knowledge or experience within Air Cargo Imports and/or Exports. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Confident dealing with customers over the telephone and via email. Proactive approach with the ability to think outside the box and resolve issues. Strong time management and organisational skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Must be able to provide a full 5-year checkable work history and successfully complete a DBS check.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum.
• Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30.
• Annual Leave: 25 days plus 8 Bank Holidays.
