Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals in Maidstone is seeking a Customer Service Advisor / Hire Controller to deliver a best-in-class service, upsell relevant products, and build lasting relationships with customers over the phone, email, and website requests.

You will own the customer journey from enquiry to post-hire feedback, adapt to a fast-paced operation, and use product knowledge to drive service improvements while maintaining accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Customer Service / Administrator role.
• Experience in hire or construction industry advantageous but not essential.
• Developing product knowledge and understanding Sunbelt's range.
• Excellent communication including negotiating and influencing.
• Ability to use own judgement and initiative per company policies.
• Collaborative team member with supportive attitude.
• Flexible, adaptable to a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and service levels.
• Good level of MS Office literacy and IT systems

Responsibilities

• Deliver best-in-class service to customers via phone, email, and website requests.
• Identify upselling opportunities using product knowledge.
• Manage orders from enquiry to post-hire feedback and ownership of the journey.
• Build relationships with regular customers and internal/external stakeholders.
