Job summary

Nationwide in Exeter is seeking a Customer Representative to support customers in-branch, on the phone, and online. You’ll help with everyday transactions, answer queries, and guide customers toward banking services and digital tools that make managing money easier.

The role is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract, full-time or part-time (28-35 hours per week, Monday to Saturday). 25 days holiday, valuable benefits, and training are provided. Commute within 45 minutes of the Exeter branch is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is helpful but not required for banking roles.
• Strong communication and listening skills are essential.
• Comfort with walking customers through branch processes and digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs to offer trusted help with banking.
• Handle a range of transactions and queries accurately while prioritising security and fairness.
• Guide customers through suitable products and services to manage their money confidently.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of service, even when busy.
• Follow processes, spot issues, and escalate where needed to protect customers and Nationwide.
