Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Customer Representative for our Chard, Somerset branch. You’ll support customers in person, over the phone and online with everyday transactions and queries, helping them navigate banking services and digital tools to manage their money with confidence.

The role is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract, full-time (35 hours per week), Monday to Saturday, within a 45-minute commute of the branch.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or a customer-facing role is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to assist customers.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs.
• Handle transactions and queries accurately while prioritizing security and fairness.
• Guide customers through banking products and services suitable for them.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver excellent customer service, even at peak times.
• Follow processes and escalate concerns to protect customers and Nationwide.
