Job summary

Nationwide in Northamptonshire is seeking a Customer Representative for a fixed-term, full-time role. You’ll work 35 hours per week, Monday to Saturday, at our Northampton branch and must be within a 45-minute commute. Training lasts three weeks and start dates are confirmed after an offer.

The role supports customers in person, by phone, and online, delivering trusted guidance and banking services. The role emphasizes a friendly, customer-first approach with opportunities for development,

Qualifications

Experience in customer service is helpful.
Strong communication skills with customers.
Comfortable using digital banking tools and everyday tech.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs, offering trusted, friendly help with banking.
Handle a range of transactions and queries accurately while maintaining security and fairness.
Guide customers through banking products and services that meet their needs and help them manage money.
Collaborate with colleagues to deliver excellent customer service, especially during peak times.
Follow procedures, spot potential issues, and escalate where needed to protect customers and Nationwide.
Keep face-to-face banking meaningful and accessible on the high street.
