Job summary

Waitrose & Partners in the United Kingdom is recruiting a Customer Delivery Driver. You will start in-store and then deliver orders to customers' doors, delivering a friendly, professional service with a focus on safety and accuracy.

You will manage substitutions and refunds when needed, perform van checks, and help with in-store warehouse tasks when not driving. A great team environment and commitment to excellent customer service are valued.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years or older.
• Have a full, valid UK manual car driving licence (B-category) with up to 6 penalty points.
• Bring awesome people skills and a friendly approach to customer service.
• Be ready for some physical work, lifting crates, stairs and moving items (roughly up to 18kg).

Responsibilities

• Be a friendly face for the Waitrose brand while you're on the road and deliver great customer service.
• Discuss order changes (substitutions or short-dated items) and arrange refunds if needed.
• Handle products carefully and treat them as your own.
• Ensure customers are not charged extra for substitutions.
• Assist customers with groceries and build trusting relationships.
• Familiarise yourself with your delivery route and perform vehicle safety checks.
• Support wider warehouse tasks when not driving.
