Job summary

Waitrose & Partners is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring quality Waitrose produce and partner-led service to customers’ doors. You’ll be active, physically capable, and customer-facing, starting each day in-store before delivering groceries and managing substitutions, refunds, and safe vehicle checks.

You’ll be part of a welcoming, inclusive team at Waitrose, where friendly service and trust with customers are paramount.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older.
• Have a full, valid UK manual car driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Bring excellent people skills and a friendly approach to customer service.
• Be prepared for physical work including lifting crates up to ~18kg.

Responsibilities

• Start your day in store, then be a friendly face for the Waitrose brand on the road.
• Discuss order changes with customers (substitutions/short-dated items) and arrange refunds if needed.
• Handle products with care and ensure substitutions aren’t charged extra.
• Assist customers with groceries and build trusting relationships while following routes.
• Perform a full van safety check and comply with road safety rules.
• Support wider CFC team with warehouse tasks when off the road.
