Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring Waitrose quality and Partner-led service to customers’ doors. You will start in-store and then travel on well-equipped vans, handling substitutions, refunds, and ensuring items are delivered with care.

This role is highly active, physically demanding, and involves strong customer service as you engage with customers daily. Flexible hours across seven days are required to cover early mornings and evenings.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old and eligible to work in the UK.
• Full UK manual car driving licence (B category) with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Excellent people skills and friendly customer service approach.

Responsibilities

• Be a friendly face for the Waitrose brand while on the road and deliver great customer service.
• Communicate changes to orders (substitutions/short-dated items) and arrange refunds if needed.
• Handle products with care, treating them as your own, and ensure safe deliveries to customers.
• Check delivery route and give the van a safety check to be road-ready and compliant.
