Job summary

Waitrose & Partners is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring quality Waitrose products and Partner-led service to customers’ doors. You’ll also support in-store tasks, ensuring a friendly, efficient shop environment. You must be 18+ to work in this role.

Your day starts in-store, planning routes, loading your van, and delivering orders while maintaining vehicle safety checks and road compliance. A customer-first approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Full valid UK driving licence (B category) with no more than 6 points.
• Great customer service skills.
• Time management skills.
• Able to cope with the physical requirements of the role (e.g. lifting crates, moving cages).
• Able to work independently, be self-motivated and adaptable.
• IT literate.

Responsibilities

• Check your delivery routes for the day.
• Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring orders are together for direct to customer delivery.
• Ensure vehicle safety checks are completed and road safety is maintained.
• Be an ambassador for the Waitrose brand with a focus on customer service.
• Help customers with their shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
• Support the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks.
