Job Description:

My client, a leading IT Solutions provider, is seeking to recruit a Desktop Support Engineer to join an ever-growing Customer Support Function. This client has more than 10,000 employees worldwide and supports a large number of Enterprise Customers. The role requires:

  • Owning, investigating, and resolving customer technical issues, collaborating within and across teams, and using troubleshooting tools and practices.
  • Participating in communities with peer delivery roles and sharing knowledge where appropriate.
  • Developing technical and professional skills through training and readiness to resolve customer issues.
  • Identifying potential product defects and escalating appropriately to contribute to Microsoft product improvements.
  • Fluency in English with effective communication skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • At least 3 years of experience in technical support or a related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Office 365 technology.
  • Knowledge of Office Setup & Deployment processes.
  • Familiarity with Office core applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Publisher, InfoPath, Access): interface, usage, functions, and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of Office integration with platforms like Windows, network shares, mobiles, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Networking skills and familiarity with protocols such as FTP and HTTP are desirable.
  • Object-oriented programming experience.
  • Technical literacy and hands-on experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs):

  • Relevant Microsoft Technology Certifications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in technical consulting or IT roles is preferred.
