Job Description:

My client, a leading IT Solutions provider, is seeking to recruit a Desktop Support Engineer to join an ever-growing Customer Support Function. This client has more than 10,000 employees worldwide and supports numerous large Enterprise Customers. The ideal candidate will:

  • Own, investigate, and resolve customer technical issues, collaborating within and across teams and utilizing troubleshooting tools and practices.
  • Participate in communities with peer delivery roles and share knowledge where appropriate.
  • Develop technical and professional skills through training and readiness to resolve customer issues.
  • Identify potential product defects and escalate appropriately to contribute to Microsoft product improvements.
  • Communicate effectively in English.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have 3+ years of experience in technical support or related fields.
  • Exhibit excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Have strong knowledge of Office 365 technology and Office setup & deployment processes.
  • Be proficient with Office core applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Publisher, InfoPath, Access), including interface, usage, functions, and troubleshooting.
  • Understand Office integration with various platforms such as Windows, third-party network shares/OS, mobiles, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Additional desirable skills include networking, communication protocols (FTP, HTTP), object-oriented programming, technical literacy, and hands-on experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs):
  • Relevant Microsoft Technology Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or related field
  • Similar background such as technical consulting or IT experience preferred.
