Job Description:
My client, a leading IT Solutions provider, is seeking to recruit a Desktop Support Engineer to join an expanding Customer Support team. This client has over 10,000 employees worldwide and supports numerous large Enterprise Customers. The ideal candidate will have:
- Ownership of, investigation, and resolution of customer technical issues, collaborating within and across teams using troubleshooting tools and practices.
- Participation in communities with peer delivery roles and sharing knowledge where appropriate.
- Development of technical and professional skills through training and readiness.
- Identification of potential product defects and escalation to contribute to Microsoft product improvements.
- Fluency in English with effective communication skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- At least 3 years of experience in technical support or a related field.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong knowledge of Office 365 technology.
- Experience with Office Setup & Deployment processes.
- Proficiency with Office core applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Publisher, InfoPath, Access, including troubleshooting and usage.
- Understanding of Office integration with Windows, third-party network shares/OS, mobiles, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Networking skills and familiarity with communication protocols (FTP, HTTP, etc.) — preferred.
- Object-oriented programming skills — preferred.
- Technical literacy and hands-on experience — preferred.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs):
- Relevant Microsoft Technology Certifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in technical consulting or IT roles — preferred.
