Job Description:
My client, a leading IT Solutions provider, is seeking to recruit a Desktop Support Engineer to join an expanding Customer Support team. This client has over 10,000 employees worldwide and supports numerous large Enterprise Customers. The ideal candidate will:
- Own, investigate, and resolve customer technical issues, collaborating within and across teams and utilizing troubleshooting tools and practices.
- Participate in community knowledge sharing with peer roles.
- Develop technical and professional skills through training and readiness programs.
- Identify potential product defects and escalate appropriately to contribute to Microsoft product improvements.
- Communicate fluently in English, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Have at least 3 years of experience in technical support or a related field.
- Possess excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Have strong knowledge of Office 365 and Office setup & deployment processes.
- Be proficient with Office core applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Publisher, InfoPath, Access.
- Understand Office integration with various platforms including Windows, third-party network shares/OS, mobiles, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Preferably, have networking skills and familiarity with communication protocols such as FTP and HTTP.
- Possess object-oriented programming skills and technical literacy.
- Be capable of working independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs):
- Relevant Microsoft Technology Certifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in technical consulting or similar IT roles is preferred.
