Job Description:
My client, a leading IT Solutions provider, is seeking to recruit a Desktop Support Engineer to join an expanding Customer Support team. This client has over 10,000 employees worldwide and supports numerous large Enterprise Customers. The ideal candidate will have:
- Ownership of, investigation into, and resolution of customer technical issues, collaborating across teams and utilizing troubleshooting tools.
- Participation in communities with peer delivery roles and sharing knowledge where appropriate.
- Development of technical and professional skills through training and readiness.
- Identification of potential product defects and escalation for resolution, contributing to product improvements.
- Fluency in English with effective communication skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- At least 3 years of experience in technical support or related fields.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong knowledge of Office 365 technologies.
- Experience with Office setup and deployment processes.
- Proficiency with Office core applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Publisher, InfoPath, Access).
- Understanding of Office integration with platforms like Windows, SharePoint, OneDrive, and mobile devices.
- Additional skills such as networking, communication protocols (FTP, HTTP), object-oriented programming, and technical literacy are a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant Microsoft Technology Certifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Experience in technical consulting or IT roles is preferred.
