Job Description:

My client, a leading IT Solutions provider, is seeking to recruit a Desktop Support Engineer to join an expanding Customer Support team. This client has more than 10,000 employees worldwide and supports numerous large enterprise customers. The ideal candidate will:

  • Own, investigate, and resolve customer technical issues, collaborating within and across teams, and using troubleshooting tools and practices.
  • Participate in communities with peer delivery roles and share knowledge where appropriate.
  • Develop technical and professional skills through training and readiness programs.
  • Identify potential product defects and escalate issues to contribute to Microsoft product improvements.
  • Communicate fluently in English with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in technical support or a related field.
  • Possess excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Have strong knowledge of Office 365 technologies and Office setup & deployment processes.
  • Be familiar with Office core applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Publisher, InfoPath, Access, including their interfaces, functions, and troubleshooting.
  • Understand Office integration with platforms like Windows, network shares, mobiles, SharePoint, and OneDrive.

Additional desirable skills include:

  • Networking skills and familiarity with communication protocols (FTP, HTTP, etc.).
  • Object-oriented programming experience.
  • Technical literacy and hands-on experience.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Technology Certifications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Experience in technical consulting or IT roles is preferred.
